Over the past few months the increasingly popular Farmville and Facebook have become synonymous. Along with other games like YoVille and Mafia Wars, anyone signing onto their Facebook would likely see an update for at least one, if not multiple, update for these games. But now the company responsible for these three games as well as many more, Zynga, may be leaving the Facebook behind.
The dates been set. According to Shacknews, on May 12 the Mac version of Steam will become available, giving Mac users the chance to get a part of the digital distribution goodness that is Steam. Not to mention all the great sales that are offered on a regular basis.

Bioengineers are involved in the study and application of typical engineering notions, such as fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, and materials science to the development and design of devices that have biologically oriented applications.
At Stony Brook, graduate students and scientists from all over the world have come to pursue bioengineering studies covering a wide range of applications, making it a major center for work in this area. Some of these researchers recently agreed to discuss themselves and their work.

Yesterday, the official trailer for the third chapter of the Gears of War saga was released on YouTube. According to the trailer, the game is scheduled to be released in April 2011 for the XBOX 360 and will be the concluding chapter of the GOW story.
According to various tweets from creator, Cliff Bleszinski, the game will feature a new four person co-op mode, which will allow a party of four to play the main campaign. Now players can fight as any of the four main characters, including the typically computer controlled members of Delta Squad… Cole and Baird.
Some games are just about flashing lights, bright colors and wracking up the points. Peggle is a game where the sole goal is to try and increase your score as much as possible, by shooting a ball from the top of the screen to the bottom while trying to hit as many pegs as possible.
At first glance, the immediate impression of Peggle would probably be that your looking at a kids game. Bright lights, simple controls and goals and some very “Pixar-esc” characters give the illusion that a game like Peggle is for kids. In reality, it is a game for adults and kids alike. Now I have to be honest, I am not much of a gamer. I mean I have a few games on my Ipod touch, but nothing to serious, just fun games like Tap Tap Revenge and Sally’s Spa. The last time I found myself playing a game on actual console was weeks ago on Xbox 360. But that changed this past week.
Don Ness, Duluth, Minn. Mayor goes for a swim in Lake Superior
Google is playing Willy Wonka and towns across the U.S. are trying to get with the golden ticket. The promise of an incredibly fast internet connection has sent a number of communities across the US into a frenzy. Why? Google has announced that it will build the infrastructure required to provide high speed broadband network to at least one community in the U.S., at no charge.
This has prompted towns across the country to start doing publicity stunts to gain the internet search giant’s attention. The water in Lake Superior might be close to freezing, but that didn’t stop Don Ness, the mayor of Duluth, Minn., from going for a swim in an attempt to get Google to pick his town. The mayor in Sarasota, Fla. took a dip in a shark tank for the same reason. Topeka, Kan. even went as far to rename the town to “Google” for all of March. Read more…
